This means they can withstand a 75-pound weight dropped from a height of at least eighteen inches leaving at least one inch of clearance. The flared shape of the 20-gauge stainless steel shield distribute the weight of a falling object, and a 3/8" high-density closed cell neoprene pad underneath helps absorb the shock itself.
